[ARCHIVED] New Recycling Containers

Recently you were informed we will be converting to new wheeled recycling containers that will replace the old, smaller recycling bins. Thank you to the nearly 1,000 residents who have returned the recycling postcard. If you have forgotten, lost, or misplaced the card, you can register online and submit your information or call the City Office at 722-0761; we would be happy to assist you in this transition.

  • You may have a few questions, such as, “When do we receive our new 65 or 95 gallon container?” or “What do we do with our old recycling container?” First, we anticipate this change to be after the new year, as we are waiting to receive a response on our grant application from the Iowa DNR. Second, it is customer choice. You may keep your old container or return it to the City. Details of how to return containers will be communicated later.
  • For more information and answers to other questions, visit our FAQ page or call the City Office.
