We are thrilled to bring back Youth Theater for a Spring Session! This is a theater group for 6th-9th graders, and this spring we will be putting on an abridged version of a Shakespeare play - Hamlet!  For this play we will have auditions Friday, February 24th from 4:00-6:00 at the Shelter House at Children's Park.  Please show up at 4:00 and plan to be there for the full two hours.  If you are cast in the play, you will then need to register online, cost is $60. Youth Theater will meet every following Friday from 4:00-6:00 at the Shelter House. The performance will be Saturday, May 6th at Te Paske Theater.   In order to be cast, you must miss no more than two rehearsals and be able to be at the dress rehearsal, May 5th and the performance, May 6th.  Hope to see you on the 24th!

Beginner and Intermediate classes start the first Thursday in March and run 5 weeks at the Shelter House at Children's Park.  Beginner class starts at 6:30, Intermediate at 8:00 with a half hour overlap for practice in the middle.  $10 off when you register with a partner!  Email to register.

A partner is recommended, but not required. $10 off if you register with a partner! *You must complete, have completed or be participating in our beginner class in order to join our intermediate/advanced class. The basics are VERY important! *If you have already completed both Beginner and Intermediate Classes, you’re always welcome to join again! We have a list of advanced moves that we can teach you towards the end of class each week. Plus its always good to brush up on your skills and work on technique! MIDWEST SWING DANCE CO. 5 WEEK DANCE CLASS INFORMATION Thursdays, March 2nd-30th Beginners: 6:30-8:30 pm Intermediates: 7:30-9:00 pm Children’s Park, Sioux Center, IA 51250 Our style of swing is a Simplified, 4-Count, Single-Step East Coast Variation. It is very simple and not difficult to pick up. If you can count to four you can dance!

To educate, enlighten, and enrich our community through the arts.

Throughout the year we offer art, theater and dance classes as well as various arts events such as the Sioux Center Arts Picnic, Prairie Town Quilt & Craft Show, and the Christmas Showcase musical event.  

This fall we are excited to present a community play (Steel Magnolias!) in addition to a musical (The Sound of Music!) this summer as a part of Sioux Center Summer Celebration.
