About Sioux Center's Parks

The City of Sioux Center has many parks, recreational areas and shelters to offer its residents and the surrounding communities. The shelters are available to the public; however, the enclosed shelters can be reserved for a small fee by calling the city office at 712-722-0761. The open shelters are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Discover the many beautiful parks available to residents and visitors:

Park Hours & Policies

  • Lighted courts and fields close at 11:00 pm.
  • No alcohol is to be consumed in any park area.
  • No pets are allowed on ball fields. Pet use is recommended by the Heritage Village parking lot.
  • Operating a motor vehicle within a park, except on roads and in parking lots, is prohibited.
  • Parks are open from dawn until 11:00 pm.
  • Parking is allowed only in designated areas.
  • The speed limit for parks is 10 miles per hour.

Prohibited Items & Actions

The following are prohibited:

  • Disorderly conduct
  • Excessive noise
  • Fires, except in barbecue grills or fire pits
  • Fireworks
  • Guns or weapons
  • Horseback riding
  • Littering and dumping
  • Removal or destruction of vegetation
  • Swimming in ponds
  • Vandalism
  • Vehicles left overnight
