The grand opening of the new American State Bank Sports Complex will mark the completion of this $8 million joint project of the City of Sioux Center and Dordt University and the launch of a major year-round Iowa attraction.
The grand opening and ribbon cutting is set for Friday, January 20 at 1 p.m. A slate of local and state speakers plan to celebrate the grand opening, including Iowa Economic Development Authority Director Debi Durham. Following the presentation, there will be an opportunity for tours of the facility.
The American State Bank Sports Complex, a 470-foot by 250-foot air-inflated dome and indoor turf facility, will host athletic competitions and training, wellness activities, and events. It is anticipated to draw 200,000 visits each year.
The American State Bank Sports Complex is located at 1080 7th Street NE in Sioux Center.
Parking will be available in the shared parking lot with the All Seasons Center.
