Sioux Center Municipal Utilities (SCMU) is offering a free new app that allows customers to access utility usage/history and pay bills in one place. The new MyCivic Utilities app is available for free to all customers and is a one-stop option for monthly usage reports, billing history, payment of utility bills, and contacting SCMU.
“We wanted to give another way for customers to easily access their utility history and pay utility bills, whether they’re at home or on the go,” said City Finance Director Darryl Ten Pas. “We see this as a great way to help customers understand their monthly usage and add to their options for staying connected with us.”
Inside the app, customers can review a chart of their monthly usage for electricity, natural gas, and water; review billing history and prior payments; and make a utility payment. The app also offers the option for customers to send in a “service request” including: signing up for emailed bills, consumption review, updating account information, and more.
Customers can download the “MyCivic Utilities” app from their preferred app store on their mobile phone or tablet. Once they install and open the app, they can select “Sioux Center” as their city and create a login. Those who have already registered a login for Sioux Center Municipal Utilities’ website to track history or pay bills need to use that login information.
To complete the creation of the app account, customers will need their account number, which is listed on their utility bill, and their most recent utility payment amount. Full instructions are online at www.siouxcenter.org/utilityapp
