Emotional Intelligence - A Different Kind of Smart - Emotional Intelligence (EI) and our keen awareness of it, are key components in attaining and maintaining healthy relationships. Leaders will learn what constitutes EI and why it is so vitally important. They will be provided the tools needed to raise their emotional intelligence while keeping awareness of others.
Denise Truckenmiller speaks from experience. She has built a solid reputation for moving individuals and organizations from a mindset of reasons, stories, and excuses to “why nots” and “what ifs”. Denise has performed a variety of leadership positions, including chamber of commerce executive director, YMCA camp executive director, director of Human Capital in two rural hospitals, and trainer/consultant for a healthcare system. Denise is a strategic thinker and innovative problem solver.
Each session will include general information regarding the topic, associated low and high risks with use, and consequences of high-risk choices. These presentations are possible through Rosecrance Jackson Centers via the Integrated Providers Network Grant and the State Opioid Response Grant.
These sessions are for any adult who is interested in learning more about the science, data, and resources regarding each topic. Sessions are for anyone: faith leaders, law enforcement, probation officers, school administration, teachers, treatment providers, counselors, social workers, parents, guardians, and anyone who works with youth.
