Sioux Center Municipal Utilities received an Excellence in Public Power Communications Award from the American Public Power Association for customer communications.
The annual awards recognize excellence in communications. Awards recognize public power utilities’ ingenuity and creativity in telling their stories through outstanding copy, design, financial data presentation, graphics, social media engagement, video editing, and web layout and interactivity. Sioux Center Municipal Utilities Received an Award of Merit for a welcome booklet for new customers.
“We’re a community-owned utility. We want our customers to know that from day one – that they as our customers are at the core of our big-picture decisions and our daily work,” said Communications Coordinator Maggie Landegent. “This welcome booklet, built with help from a Dordt University student intern Siena Rose, introduces customers to our story and the services our community offers.”
Sioux Center Municipal Utilities is part of the American Public Power Association, which advocates for not-for-profit, community-owned utilities powering 2,000 towns and cities nationwide.
