Sioux Center residents are invited to a Tech Help night at the library to learn how to see hourly utility use, the City app, and more on Monday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. at the Sioux Center Public Library.
This summer, the City launched a new service for utility customers that shows how much electric, natural gas, and water services the customer uses each hour through the day. To see hourly use, customers can login through the municipal utilities’ online platform or use the Sioux Center App.
The City is offering a tech night to help customers create an online account, access charts showing their hourly use, learn how to set up leak alerts, navigate different features of the Sioux Center App, and more.
Customers who want to learn about these or have questions can attend the free City Tech Help session Monday, Aug. 28. It is recommended they bring a laptop computer or a cellphone along if possible to help get them connected to their account.
People can also create an online account and login on their own at home. To do so, visit www.siouxcenter.com/account or click the “Pay a Bill” button on the www.siouxcenter.org website. Customers can also find more information there on how to set up water leak alerts and a vacation threshold alert.
