Each year residents and surrounding communities are
encouraged to participate in the annual E-Cycle Event.
This year's event will be held at Pella's south loading docks on Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 7:30 am to 9:30 a.m. If trucks are full, doors will close before 9:30 a.m. (whichever comes first).
This event is free; however, donations are greatly appreciated. Donations collected go towards a local charity.
Various items are accepted, such as: computers, laptops, cell phones, stereos, iPods/mp3 players, televisions, VCR/DVD players, video game systems, electric mixers, coffee makers, nail guns, drills, and much more. You can view a complete list of acceptable items (PDF).
Please note: appliances (microwaves, dishwashers, fridges, washer/dryer, dehumidifiers and other large appliances) are not accepted.
The E-Cycle event was first held in 2009 and has continued with a great success. This event focuses on properly disposing electronic items in an environmentally safe manner by Midwest Electronic Recovery. It is estimated that 40% of lead found in landfills is from e-waste.
This E-Cycle Event is sponsored by these environmentally-conscious companies: City of Sioux Center, Interstates, Pella Corporation, Brommer Sanitation, Visser Elevator, and Center Fresh.
