New Gymnastics Director Brings Experience, Enthusiasm

The City of Sioux Center is welcoming Heidi Vlotho as our new Galaxy Gymnastics director.

Heidi brings experience from coaching in Sioux Center and also in Iowa City while attending college.

She is an alumna of Sioux Center’s gymnastics program and daughter of a former director.

“Heidi has a great passion for gymnastics and she’ll be able to lead and direct this program in an excellent way through her organizational skills,” said Dave Ruter, Sioux Center Recreation Director.

Vlotho coordinates the Sioux Center Galaxy Gymnastics program and manages the coaching staff.

“I was really excited when the opportunity opened up,” Vlotho said. “I am enjoying getting to know the families and helping the gymnasts grow and excel. It’s good to be back in local gymnastics.”

Vlotho lives in Ireton with her husband, Chad, and two children. She also has two older step-children living out of the home.

Galaxy Gymnastics in Sioux Center is a thriving gymnastics program offering classes with excellent coaching from beginning to competition level. The gymnastics program is hosted in Dordt College’s Recreation Center.
